Makes perfect sense now...thanks for the insight.

As far as body language...other than the dead, empty look in his eye, a blank stare...there is none</description>

"That's fine" is non-committal and non-emotional in that respect, and could be replaced with "whatever" Perhaps you feel that context under the words and react to the indifference, be it perceived or real.

Try taking body language into consideration, the conversation that prompted the phrase, and the history of that person using the phrase into account before taking it as improper.</description>
