Myth Busted: Condoms Do Not Hinder Sexual Pleasure

The common myth that condoms hinder sexual pleasure has been debunked, with research showing they have no effect on the enjoyment of sex.

Research published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, by scientists at Indiana University, found that sex was just as arousing and pleasurable when condoms and/or lubricants were used compared with when they were not.

People often believe condoms hinder sexual pleasure because they reduce sensitivity. There are also many instances where men refuse to wear condoms for this reason.

A 2007 article in the Nursing Standard said: “Some people suggest that they lose sensation when using condoms. Men sometimes indicate that condoms are restrictive and uncomfortable to wear.

“Some men and women would like their partners to use a condom but their partner may refuse because of their need to exert power and control.”

One should add: Reasearch obviously done by scientists who have never ever gotten laid.

“Excert power or control.” Thank you, this line immidietly betrayed where this is coming from.

I’ve just tested this theory with my finger. I sucked my finger with and without a condom. It felt the same on my finger. I used durex extra sensitive. Then I got turned on bc lately I’ve been drinking raspberry leaf tea to “balance” hormones but really it makes me horny a lot. Now I’m like a guy which is awesome. I don’t want to hate men I want to be as confident and unemotional as they are, and slutty like them. Then I can use men to get whatever I want. Anyways, my point is that I believe there’s a good chance condoms don’t affect sensitivity as much as guys say they do.

Seriously, testing it with your finger? I guess your finger is as sensitive as your clitoris? Then again, seeing how you treat the matter, i can beleive you would make that comparison.

However. It didn`t feel the same for me with and without, period.

  4. Many men would beg to differ. Condoms really do seem to constrict blood flow for men. I am pro-condom, but there are men who truly have difficulty with them particularly men who are on meds.

I tested it on my clitoris and it was the same. As far as blood flow, if its too tight u should use magnum large condoms. U should test different brands the durex extra sensitive seem good. Also, circumcision is unnecessary medically and it reduces sensitivity big time. Uncircumcized guys have an easier time with condoms.

  6. Even the best magnums can and do constrict at the base of the penis restricting blood flow. I do agree circ doesnt help.

I do don’t sex at all, so condom aren’t for me. I’d prefer to jack off. That way, no disease, no babies, no wasting money on rubber, no rejection….

    Probably a wise idea wilson…

  9. agirl says:

Wilson has made me realize that its only hard being a woman if you allow men to make it difficult, but really it could be worse, I could be a guy! Lol

@agirl Yes, that’s right. You shouldn’t let me make life difficult for you. Life is supposed to be precious.
