Thousand words cannot say as much

…as one picture.

Okay, this one has plenty of words, but still. Again, a webcomic, something most critics (That is, snobbish old farts up their own asses.) would deny to be art, puts it better then i ever could.

The current page of the webcomic subnormality.:

To take the shortest, and clearest form of this message about “opposite genders” something that is 90% the same, is not “opposite”.

Actually… if we’re going to focus strictly on biology here, I don’t think it’s the “shared DNA” we should be looking at – considering that our genetic makeup is also pretty close to bonobos… rather, we should seek to understand through endocrinology and how it shapes us (both physically, emotionally and mentally).

If anything “biological” can drastically change one’s view of the world (and how we tend to live our life as a result), it’s definitely hormones.

I definitely, positively don’t want to start a debate on the oversecretion of testosterone or on PMS here.
Just saying that as long as you haven’t walked in the shoes of someone of “another gender”, well… tough. All you have left to work with is empathy.

It is not just DNA, it is behavior, needs and hopes, anything that defines you as human, and as a thinking, feeling, self avare being.

Again, we are conentrating on the differences, nobody said there arent differences, but they are blown out of propotions by many. And many of the differences are actually a result of social pressure, and upbringing, not of our biology. (That is not to say there werent biological diferences, but again, in my opinion, they are overrated.)

basically, you’re sayin’ some people are over dramatic (crazy) and some people are realistic (normal)?

  4. Muzolf says:

    Err, what?

That wasnt what i meant, did i say something that sounded like that?

  5. zombifieds64 says:

maybe i just interpreted it the wrong. i was just thinking about you saying people blow things out of proportion. those who think differences between certain groups of people make it nearly impossible to get along. some tolerate too much when others don’t have any tolerance for what seems different from them. sorry if i took your post wrong but that’s just what popped into my head.

  6. Muzolf says:

Well, i would say, it is close enough.

Right now what i meant was that people put to much weight into the differences between men and women.

When it comes to it, we really arent all that different. Despite what some on this site would say, both want the same things.
Having a good life, have fun while young, a familiy eventually, security, being loved, being rich or famous or leave an impact for some, ect…

    @Muzolf
VERY well said. some people live life through youthful delusion, i hope i don’t end up that way. that’s what i mean by crasy, i hope i’m sane lol.
