Nothing you’ve said changes my original reply to you. All you are saying is you agree with Islam. I already figured that out.

Sorry, but having sex with a 9 yeard old is not okay, regardless of wether or not you say it was “common”. And this is what the founder of that religion did. He married a child, and raped a child. And apparently all the time was having “god” revealled to him. Some God.

What do women need protection from? Why should women cover themselves in an uncomfortable manner because of male lust? Men should control their lust or lock themselves at home. Women should not have to restrict their behaviour due to the weakness and stupidity of men. Strong men control their behaviour they do not blame women for their own issues. Only a narcissistic coward does this. The Hijab and burqua, have nothing to do with respecting God no matter what a man or a religion tries to claim. Islam and the covering of women, teaches men to be weak, not strong.

As I already stated eariler, muhammad did try and improve the conditions for women and children but he certainly supported many philosophies that are terrible. Such as a man’s right to hit a woman, as well as polygomy. It is not good for women, regardless of wether or not the “man” can provide. It is very psychologically damaging and any women who has been forced into it, will tell you this.

Sorry but your comments haven’t changed anything, other than to say you agree with Islam. So be it, but forcing women to cover up, is hardly respectful to women or men. It just makes muslim men sound weak.

How does your new religion view liberated women who decide to live their life being single and free from men. To self-educate and be successful in life without the help of any man. To love and believe in god and only need their faith to get them through life on their own. To concentrate on oneself and her career. To enjoy being in a relationship with herself and the universe? To report any male sexual harasser to the police or other higher powers that be. I really do believe that men should practice self-control over their own sexual thoughts and urges. Why do they have to go around trying to impregnate and give diseases to innocent women who are brainwashed my the media and music videos into thinking society thinks they should dress scantily. These poor girls don’t even realise how brainwashed they are…and most men just have no respect. All they care about are their dicks and satisfying their lustful urges.

I learned this after I read the Qur’an from a book called “AN APOLOGY FOR MUHAMMAD AND THE KORAN” by John Davenport, who later converted to Islam.

Muslim women that you refer to are living in the States–they are being subjected to a culture based on materialism, appearance, and sex. That is a great example of Islam. The women living in Muslim places and are oppressed shows that that nation is not one of Islam, but one of POLITICS and the EVIL GREEDS of SOCIETY!

The hijab is a veil to protect the women and to respect GOD NOT men. Women wear the hijab because they want to be safe from the lustful eyes of men. I can assure you that most men have lustful eyes. The hijab is not needed to make the women A HUMAN BEING OR EQUAL BUT IT IS NEEDED TO PROTECT HERSELF FROM THE LUSTFUL THOUGHTS OF STUPID MEN. You are of those who think men are not this desirous–all men in my Med school need only a glance at a women in shorts with large breasts to get an erection.

Women should not have to cover themselves to be treated as human beings. They are human beings regardless.

Most Muslim women I know, absolutely hate the coverings that certain cultures force them to wear, and they are the first ones that will tell you it is degrading. It is also degrading to men, as it assumes that men cannot control their sexual urges as though they are little more than wild animals.

Muhammad married a 6 year old, and had sex with her when she was 9. Yes he did try and elevate the status of women compared to their treatment at the time, but he only got so far. Raping a 9 year old, allowing men to hit women as a divine right, and allowing polygamy , he is hardly a model for womens right.

Astrocat: Islam and Judaism do not degrade women. If you read their scriptures, women are of great character. I recently converted to Islam, and I am on a vacation in the Middle East and Africa. Wow, do women have rights! They get to cover themselves and be treated as HUMAN BEINGS and not SEX OBJECTS!
Places like Saudi Arabia follow a false Islam called “Wahabbism” or “Salafism.” This is an extremist sect of Islam. Prophet Muhammad [SAW] treated women BETTER than men during his lifetime and helped them from living in OPPRESSION from men. In Islam, Eve was created separately from Adam and both of them were blamed for eating the fruit.
I was engaged (yesterday) to an amazing Muslim woman who I can see as very elevated within the community.
I’m not saying that Christianity destroys the rights of women. That is simply not true. It’s society that does that, and since most of society justifies their acts through a conservative Christianity which calls for the dominance of men, then so be it, but I always blame the PEOPLE NOT THE RELIGION.

What I have come to realise about women is that they have no feelings, they pretend they do, but they don’t actually care about you or your feelings at all. They are only out for themselves, and they only care about making themselves happy. Most of them are egocentric. They truly are shallow and pathetic. They treat men like a possession, as if they own them, not a human with feelings, but more like a toy that they might just trade in for a younger more fun model one day.

A society based on Realism, the Realism that women are animals – nay, way below animals. We need such a society Right Now.
