Yes, You are right.I am a 41 yrs old male who live with his mother. I do not date anyone. Its a sick state to be in. Its is important to date the person. At lest I know about it. It funny when you see it up close. I live in an adult community and see other mother-sons with the father walking behide like the teenage son. Also it sad to see in the movies most bad guy are hiding out with mommy. Mommys make the babies and they can also make a monster. good luck!

A man who cannot make his mother #2 and make some other woman #1 is still a boy. It is one thing to respect and love Mother; it is another to refuse to transfer primary affection from her to another woman.

Such men, frankly, are pathetic, and almost nothing can be done to change them. The worst-case scenario is a horrible crime. You see, after Mama dies, these “men” become time bombs, avenging her memory rather than disappointing her personally.

After I hears the following phrase ” I can’t go out with you tonight because I promised my mom I would go to a wine tasting with her”. I had enough!! He already went to a game with her a few days before. Then I realized He was dating his mother!!! I totally understand where you’re coming from. You will find someone that is an adult. I’ve dated nice guys who love and respect their mother that don’t act like that. Be strong!!!

inhateallmen, yes it is unfortunate that some mothers have this type of control over their son’s. The sad part about my situation is he is not the only child he has 2 sisters one older, and one younger. That whole family has issues!! I am a Social Worker, so I have studied a lot of Psychology, and Sociology, plus I have seen a lot of abnormal behavior such as this one in many sick families I have worked with. I still for the life and can not understand why I did not run when I first noticed something was very odd and just plain ole weird about this family. I guess I just wanted to fix him and his family. However as we all know, you can not help those who do not want to help their self. To this day, I have not heard from him. Which is a good thing, lol..I wrote him, his father and aunt, an apology letter, stating how sorry I was for all the awful and mean things I said to them. But I did not write one to his mother nor will I !! I still have all his important paper work and a few of his clothes here, I placed everything he left here in a box and its put in the closet. I have requested that he come by and get these items, yet he has not done so..I am sure his mother has forbidden him to ever see or talk to me again..giggling..which I find rather funny but most of all sick!! Since I have been out of that sick relationship, I been so happy, and healthier. As a matter of fact I gave away my living-room set and bought new!! I am back to wearing make-up and dressing up..lol…So really that dysfunctional family did me a world of good in their own sick way. giggling.

It is very tragic but unfortunately some mothers cannot let their sons go. Case in pint: One of my neighbor’s at my childhood home residence had such a relationship with her son, who was her only child. Oh, was she ever in control of him! Her husband, not so much, but boy she controlled her son to the point where he went away to military school to get away from her (and females!). So, Jon graduates military school with top grades, gets married, but has a relationship with his wife which is more like brother-sister. Yup no real emotional intimacy or anything.

Wow! – Dealing with something like that must be so hard. When the “other woman” in his life is his own mother is, well, just sick!! I agree that there is something very weird about that behavior.

Thrashthemic, Yes I really think and feel it is incestual. My ex-boyfriend lives right next door to his mother and there is nothing wrong with that. But when I would spend the night over at his place his mother would see my car in the drive and while we were in bed, she would just walk in his house with out knocking and slam open the bedroom door and scream “Christopher just what do you think you are doing!” At first I just thought they both were co-dependent upon one another then as time when by I saw there was something more to their relationship. Also instead of his mother going to her husband his father like a wife should do when something would come up . She would call her son at work and would want him to take care of everything. It was just a bunch of little things that added up to where I feel deep within my heart and gut my ex-boyfriend and his mother have a sick incestual relationship. Like I stated in my earlier post, to this day I still do not know if he and his mother have ever had sex!!
